Text Box: This season has proven to be another busy one as changes continue to unfold at Scenic Bay Marina (SBM). First, an upgrade to the marina office is currently under way. The main office is being renovated, additional storage space is being added, and rooms for additional growth will be available. Second, the upgrade to “A” dock is nearing completion. This work consists of: the lake wall near “A” dock is almost complete. The entry to “A” dock has been improved and moved. Chain link fence is going up along the shore-line at “A” dock. “A” dock entryway light poles have been moved. Overhead wires will be eliminated by routing them underground at the shoreline near “A” dock. Third, the lime kiln park area Text Box: is undergoing improvements : Efforts to level the bumps in the grassy area have been completed. Seeding and fertilizing the bare spots has been completed. The addition of soil and a limestone wall to increase the overall park size has occurred. Grass seed has been planted under the large fir tree where the new soil has been placed. Steps Text Box: have been rebuilt at the upper campsite. Fourth, rock has been spread near the office entry to level the ground and reroute water runoff from the hillside. Fifth, the motel parking lot has been paved with asphalt. Sixth, spring flowers have been planted in and around the facility. Text Box: Bayview daze celebration , july 1-3 Text Box: Come join the Independence Day festivities at the annual “Bayview Daze” celebration. It is a three day event sponsored by the Bayview Chamber of Commerce and local businesses. There are activities for people of all ages. The main event is the fireworks display over Lake Pond O’rielle on Saturday night beginning at dusk (around 10:00p.m.), preceded by the lighted boat parade that floats along the docks of the southern tip of the bay. Other highlights include a street parade on Saturday at 1:00, Text Box: kid’s games and prizes at the Bayview Park on Hudson Bay road, a sail boat race on Saturday beginning at 9:00a.m. , a street rod, antique car & motorcycle show starting at noon on Saturday, and the Arts & Crafts Fair held on the streets in downtown Bayview on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There will be lots of food & refreshments to add to your enjoyment. It all begins Friday at 10:30 and ends Sunday night.
